Wind energy is converted into wind power, into a useful form of energy, such as electricity, using wind turbines. Wind Energy is ample, permanent, renewable, widely distributed, cheap, and also reducing toxic gas emissions, diminishing the greenhouse effect. Wind Energy is also advantageous over traditional methods of creating energy, in the sense that it is getting cheaper and cheaper. Wind Energy may soon be the cheapest way to produce energy on a large scale.
Heating water using solar energy was used long before our energy system being dominated by fossil fuels. Thus, solar heating principles are known for thousands of years. A black surface exposed to the sun becomes hot, while a light colored surface remains cooler, with white being the coldest.
